Business Development Representative (BDR)

Advanced Recovery Group (ARG) is a financial services company that provides full-service collections solutions for many commercial financing companies around the US. ARG is looking to branch out, in search of an individual who can help expand our clientele.

Below are some of the responsibilities a Business Development Representative is expected to assume in their position:

Responsibilities of the Business Development Representative include, but are not limited to the below:

  • Build a great first impression to our prospects and customers by providing them with a premier experience.
  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Qualify clients and determining their proper fit for our service.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Increasing the value provided to current clients while simultaneously attracting new ones.
  • Research and build new and existing accounts (i.e., adding contacts, sending emails, strategic calling, etc.)
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Developing goals for the development team and general business growth, while ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Answer clients’ questions about the company, our values, prices, and terms.

A successful Business Development Representative at ARG is a creative thinker who is motivated by personal and professional growth, personable, and has the willingness to expand within the business. Moreover, they are also equipped to handle rejection, and can bounce back from difficult situations while keeping the integrity of the firm in mind. A successful BDR will simultaneously research and identify new business opportunities, increase the value of current relationships, and attract and develop new opportunities.

Business Development Representative Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • “Self-starter” mindset.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

Work Requirement Details:

  • Full time – In office position

Experience:

  • 4 Years Experience (Minimum)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

Salary

  • $50,000 – $60,000 per year contingent on experience plus uncapped commission.
